Sprayers
BEI is Proud to announce the most advanced crop sprayer available:
Utilizing a Rotary Atomizer and a Cross-Flow Fan, the Curtec® Air Curtain Sprayer is a low volume air sprayer that improves coverage and sprays more acres per hour than conventional air blast sprayers. Curtec has seasons of field use in orchards and groves, and on such crops as apples, cherries, peaches and citrus.
Curtec's Rotary Atomizers create a uniform spectrum of small droplets. Small droplets improve the coverage by creating more surface area for a given volume. The atomizer is mounted within the outlet of the cross-flow fan and spins the droplets into the core of the air curtain. There are no orifices or nozzles to become plugged or worn.
The Cross-Flow Fans develop a high volume, medium velocity air curtain. This air curtain remains intact and penetrates the foliage more uniformly and efficiently than conventional sprayers. Chemical droplets are laminated within the core of the air curtain which is uniformly directed into the tree where the droplets deposit on both the tops and bottoms of the leaves. Since the spray is driven primarily in a horizontal direction rather than vertical, atmospheric drift is greatly reduced. Volumes sprayed range from 10 to 20 gallons per acre so ground runoff is minimal.
The Curtec Sprayer also utilizes multiple Peristaltic Pumps which are linked together to guarantee accurate flow control to each fan. Because there is one pump for each fan, precise metering of chemical to the atomizer is assured. Chemical flow to each fan can be independently turned off so spray height matches tree height. This reduces costly overspray and drift. Curtec uses hydraulic agitation and the entire chemical system operates at less than 20 psi.
The boom on the sprayers folds over the frame for easy transportation.
